Are Diet Pills Ever Really a Good Idea?
It seems that everywhere I turn lately; there is an ad for the latest and greatest in diet pills. And I was wondering, are diet pills ever really a good idea? We seem to be looking for the magic solution to our weight problems and no price is too high, especially if we can find it in a bottle. But what price are we really paying? Is the price of our health worth the risk that it just may help even a little bit?
Diet pills run the gamut from the placebo to the downright dangerous. Do you really know what is in that little pill that promises that you will take off the weight with ease? Some of them use buzz words that we have heard and then we immediately think that it surely must work. After all, it mentions such and such. But do they really work? Or do we just imagine that they will?
Are we making the manufacturers of these little pills rich at the expense of our own health? Or do these diet pills sometimes work? Are diet pills ever really a good idea? If not, then perhaps we should think about what we are doing. If so, then which ones and why? What do we gain by using them and what do we lose? I look forward to your comments on this subject…
